Madzander is the concatenation of my children’s names: Madeline and Alexander. So Madzander it is.

Artist:

Madzander.com is the workspace of Minnesota-based artist and educator David M. Pliska. I have been painting for over thirty years. I am interested in the play between color and shape and how these interact on the canvas.

Educator:

I have been an educator working in public schools for over 30 years. I have taught Full-day Kindergarten, Half-day Kindergarten, K-1 Multiage, First Grade, and Second Grade.  Currently, I am teaching Second Grade.

Education:

My undergrad degree is in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. My Master's degree is in Instructional Systems and Technology with a concentration in multimedia and computer-based instruction from the University of Minnesota. My resume is available upon request.
